It is with great sadness that we must announce the sudden passing of honorary member and current Chaplain Joe During. Joe was an active member from 1971 to 1981 when in may of 1981 he went to honorary status with our department but stayed very active with attending meetings and reaching out until recently.
Joe also served with the Cortlandville Fire Department and held many positions within the Cortlandville Fire Department as well.
Joe we would like to thank you for your service and dedication throughout your life to everyone and everywhere you have helped and served. We wish you could keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

~Hydrant Clean Up Detail~ From 9:00 am till 11:00 pm Mattydale volunteers staffed and Engine 91 (using squad-4) during that time, one of the biggest things the crew focused on was shoveling hydrants within the district since it snowed the night prior.

On Saturday night, January 6th, the Mattydale Fire Department held its annual installation dinner. Amy Robbins (93 Q Radio) was the emcee for the night. It was a night in which line and executive officers of the fire department were sworn in to serve in 2018.
