The Mattydale Fire Department covers 1.9 square miles with an average of 1,200 runs per year. We currently have 34 Firefighters with 15 being Medical Providers ranging from CFR's EMT's as well as Paramedics. We also have a Junior Firefighter program ages 13-19. There are lots of ways to join. From medical personnel only or being a Firefighter, Firefighter/medical we also have administrative only members that assist with clerical duties. There are lots of rewarding benefits when you become a member with us. All training is free to you paid by the fire district.  NYS even offers tax credit's for being an active Volunteer Firefighter.
