MATTYDALE FIRE DEPARTMENT takes pushball, parade, OVERALL awards at Pompey Hill Field days

The Mattydale Fire Department went south to the Pompey Hill Field Days on June 17th and 18th and had a VERY SUCCESSFUL weekend!  On Friday night, we participated in the pushball competition and took 1st PLACE in BOTH 1-1/2" and 2-1/2" competition.  The team consisted of Chief Tim Zacholl on the tip, Capt. Dave Russo caller, and Asst. Chief Dave Fitch and Lt. Curtis Knarr on the line.  Then on Saturday the fire department and junior fire department participated in annual parade and both units took 1st PLACE!!  That led to the big award of the night - the "Pete Sevier All-Points Award" which we accepted proudly!  Thank you, Pompey Hill, for a GREAT field days!!
