Mattydale Fire Department does mandatory FIREFIGHTER SURVIVAL training at East Syracuse

The Mattydale Fire Department went to East Syracuse Station 2 Thursday, April 14th for its mandatory firefighter survival. Each year, interior firefighters need to show the ability to escape from a second story window using a ladder escape or a firefighter harness escape. The need to practice and show these skills on a yearly basis is so that if it happens that we need to escape in a emergency situation, that our years of training kicks in and we do it quickly and safely. Our firefighters that participated all showed and passed there skills for 2106. Good job!!
