Mattydale Fire Department VEHICLE FIRE training at Clay Training Tower

The Mattydale Fire Department went out to the Clay Training Tower on Thursday, April 7th for vehicle fire training. The training was a engine response to a vehicle fire that tested the firefighters skills with pulling handlines, masking up with a SCBA and aggressively and safely approaching and extinguishing a car fire. The training tower provides a propane run car prop which duplicates the actual event of a vehicle fire. The crews went through multiple evolutions and the training was worthwhile and rewarding!
