Mattydale Fire Department 2016 Installation Dinner
Sun. Jan 10th 2016

The Mattydale Volunteer Fire Department held it's 2016 installation dinner at Barbagallo's on Saturday night, January 9th.  A big crowd was on hand and emcee Amy Robbins (from 93Q radio) keep everyone entertained throughout the night.  Incoming Chief Tim Zacholl was sworn in by his father, and Past Chief, Art Zacholl.  Chief Zacholl's mom, brother, sister, two daughters and a son were among relatives present to see Tim's swearing in.  The Assistant Chiefs, Captains and Lieutenants were also sworn in, as well as the executive office.  The auxiliary also swore in their officers.  The Junior Fire Department, 18 members strong, had their line and executive officers sworn in.  Town of Salina Judge Andrew Piriano swore everyone in.  It was then time for the awards and we had our 2015 Chief's Award winner named, and it was Past Chief Brian Falise.  We also had the naming of the 1st annual Junior Fire Department member of the year award and that went to Auston Sikora.  After awards, it was time for fellowship and dancing!  Everyone seemed to have a good time.
