MATTYDALE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT holds its annual installation dinner
Wed. Jan 21st 2015

The Mattydale Volunteer Fire Department held it's annual installation dinner on Saturday, January 10th at Barbegallo's in East Syracuse.  Over 160 people attended this buffet dinner that included dancing and a photo booth after the ceremonies.  The emcee for the night was Amy Robbins of 93Q and she entertained the crowd with some "awards" during the evening.  Officers from neighboring departments, Town of Salina officials, Emergency Management Commissioner Kevin Wisely and past and present members of the fire department, auxiliary and junior fire department attended.  George Dwyer was sworn in as new Chief of the fire department and line officers and executive officers were also sworn in.  The auxiliary and the junior fire department also had their officers take the oath.  Judge Andy Piraino took care of swearing in the various officers.  Past Chiefs and Presidents were acknowledged and the 2014 Chief's Award was given to Firefighter Rob Burnett.  It was a FUN night and everyone enjoyed themselves!
