On Saturday, June 22 at 14:54, the Mattydale Fire Department was dispatched to Metalico's on Thompson Road in East Syracuse.  The East Syracuse Fire Dept. was fighting a industrial fire at that location. Engine 2 responded with Capt. Smith as officer, Lt. Piccolo as driver, and Lt Schad, F/F Geremski, F/F Harden and F/F Newman as manpower.  Engine 2 was asked to help supply water to East Syracuse Truck 1, which was at the rear of the structure.  Engine 2 did a reverse lay from Truck 1 to the hydrant and pumped the hydrant to Truck 1.  Lt. Piccolo and Lt. Schad handled the pumping operation.  Capt. Smith took F/Fs Geremski, Harden and Newman to the front of the structure where they went to work assisting with aerial operations at the front of the structure.  The crew took turns going up in the bucket and running master stream operations from the bucket.  The fire was finally extinguished and Engine 2 returned to service at 16:54.
