A second grade student from Roxboro Elementary School, Joey Sampson, won the Mattydale Fire Department's Fire Prevention Coloring Contest.  The contest was held in October and over 725 kids participated in the contest.  The turned in papers were judged and the top 5 were chosen.  The winner, Joey, was picked up from his home on Gordon Ave. by Quint 3 and Joey was driven to school in what was a very special ride to school. Lt. Nick Piccolo was in charge of the contest  did a excellent job in getting so many kids to participate.
