Today four of our Mattydale firefighters took time away from their families on a warm, sunny Saturday to learn about something they hope they never experience - a plane crash.

Lieutenant Chuck Smith, FF Rich Bilger, FF Mike Remillard, and FF/EMT Curt Knarr completed the day long NYS OFPC Class.  The class focused on the special hazards associated with aircraft and interacting with ARFF Units, both responding to the airport we border and when they come to us in the event of a crash.
