On Wednesday, November 11th at 15:37 hours, the Mattydale Fire Department was dispatched to a residential fire at 206 East Molloy Road.  Mattydale Chief George Dwyer arrived to find smoke showing from the two story wood frame structure.  Upon doing a 360 of the exterior, Chief Dwyer found fire on division 1, B side, kitchen.  Upon entry, found fire in kitchen and exited structure.  Mattydale Quint 3 arrived and a 1-3/4" handline was quickly deployed and a interior attack of the fire started.  Liverpool Engine 2 arrived, stretched a 1-3/4" backup line and did a division 1 primary search.  East Syracuse Engine 4 arrived and performed a primary search of division 2 and checked for fire extension.  Moyers Corners Rescue 3 was the RIT team.  One cat was removed from the structure, given O2 and taken to the Mattydale Animal Hospital.  There was some fire extension to division 2, above the kitchen, and that was taken care of. Salina Town Codes, Red Cross, National Grid and County Fire Investigators were also on scene.  The fire was extinguished and units were picked up and returned by 18:08 hours.
