The Mattydale-Hinsdale Little League had their 2013 opening day parade on Saturday, May 4th.  The parade started from the Mattydale Fire Department and went down East Molloy Road to Westwood Ave. and then on to the Little League Fields.  The parade was led off by a color-guard consisting of 4 members of the Mattydale Junior Fire Dept., Sam McCarthy, Richard Smith, Anthony Piccolo and Austin Bush.  They were followed by Lt. Nick Piccolo of the fire department and  Quint 3, driven by Capt. Dave Fitch.  There was a custom car driven by fire dept. member Howard Krueger, a monster truck from Subway and then the teams of the Mattydale-Hinsdale Little League.  Bringing up the end of the parade was a Engine from the Hinsdale Fire Department.  Mattydale Fire police Paul Dufault, Don Bender and John Kelley made sure the roads were safe and clear of traffic for the paraders.
