Today, three of our newest firefighters participated in "live fire training" with their NYS FF1 classmates.
Held at the Clay Fire Training Facility, the class conducted training on extinguishing car fires and then moved into the training facility itself for building fires. Participating in the day's training were:
- Eric Geremski
- Ken White
- Mike Segrue
Also on hand to lend support to our members and the entire class were four of our more experienced firefighters to fill in the role of "RIT" or "Rapid Intervention Team". The team included:
- Lieutenant Chuck Smith
- FF/EMT Curt Knarr
- FF/EMT Bryan Schad
- FF Rich Bilger
Firefighter Ken White listens carefully to instructions from Instructor John Perkins on proper procedures for pulling attack lines from an Engine.
Firefighter Geremski masks up to initiate a fire attack with his partner.
