Dispatched  as RIT, Mattydale was once again challenged to take up a defensive position on a large recycling warehouse type structure that was well involved on arrival.  Quint 3's crew operated throughout the fire with numerous tasks including setting up portable masterstreams, making entry points in the building for large streams and even pumping to a NYSANG crash truck! Initially dispatched as the RIT for a reported structure fire in a print shop, Mattydale Quint 3 was quickly put into service as an elevated master stream.  The Mattydale crew was forced to take down a stockade fence and stretch 4 supply line through yards to make a hydrant on a street a block away. In the Summer of 2006, many counties in New York State were faced with massive flooding and turned to the statewide mutual aid system for help.  Mattydale stepped up and sent a crew to Mohawk Fire Department in Herkimer County.
